Wynken Blynken Nod Backpackers in Gibson BC

Wynken Blynken Nod Backpackers

The Sunshine Coast is a truly unique and extraordinary destination, full of amazing artistry and natural wonderment and magic, not to mention landscapes which will blow your mind...

Get away to the beach in the heart of Gibsons Landing, the 'Gateway to the Sunshine Coast', where you can walk down the stairs and swim in the sea, drink the water out of the tap, leave your doors unlocked and live in harmony in the rainforest all at the same time.

The Wynkenblynkennod is a heritage building dating back to the 1930's, which has seen it's share of travellers from the early days of pilgrim fisherman boarders to the late backpacker wanderers. Situated on the beach in Gibson's Landing, along the sea walk from Armours beach to lower Gibsons village, the history of the Wynkenblynk is shrouded in fish tales and ghost stories as it seems everyone who walks along this old trail has a story to tell about one or other of the buildings here or someone who used to live in them.

Our philosophy is, life is good, have fun and enjoy it.
