Polar Pure
Whether you're traveling in unfamiliar countries, camping in the great outdoors, or just want to be prepared in case of emergency, the Polar Pure water disinfectant is a space-efficient, reliable choice. Polar Pure uses a unique bottle design to deploy pure crystallized iodine into contaminated water. This iodine destroys waterborne pathogens, including the Giardia cysts and microorganisms (viruses) that normally pass through filters. All you have to do is simply add water to your Polar Pure bottle--which features a particle trap to prevent the loss of iodine crystals--and you will create a saturated solution to disinfect your water. The water cap then acts as the measuring cup, dispersing the required amount of Polar Pure to disinfect each quart/liter bottle of water.

Fifty-eight real stories from young travelers abroad offer the budget, independent, and youth traveler vivid first-person accounts of the countries and experiences of backpackers, students, and sojourners. Offering more than just traveling facts, this guide actually invites readers to see, taste, and experience European adventures-from sneaking into Rome's Coliseum to running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. These backpackers relate experiences that people with suitcases and reservations wouldn't necessarily experience, including sleeping in streets and hostels, 24 hours of clubbing on the Spanish island of Ibiza, and train-travel debacles. NALGENE Tritan Color Bottles
Not everyone likes the wide-mouth design of traditional Nalgene water bottles, which is one reason the company built the narrow-mouth Nalgene Tritan. Made of super-tough Eastman Tritan polycarbonate, the Tritan offers the same roomy interior as most Nalgenes, but with a narrow loop top that minimizes the chance of spills and a cap that never gets lost. In addition, the bottle's BPA-free construction is impact-, odor-, and stain-resistant, helping it withstand a wide range of temperatures (from -40 to 212 degrees F) and last for years. Finally, the bottle includes printed graduations on the side, making it easy measure water quantities. Recommended for extreme adventures, the Tritan bottle is available in a variety of vivacious colors.
A girls' guide to India
Telling it like it is, 'A girls' guide to India - a survivor's handbook' reveals to women backpackers everywhere what they really need to know. While lads can hoist on a rucksack containing a spare pair of pants and some ageing flip-flops without worrying about personal safety, hygiene or unwanted offers of 'jiggy jiggy', a girl about to explore the sub continent will have a long list of questions that men rarely need to ask. In an A-Z of essential topics find out what to put in your backpack, the intricacies of train travel, the second use of a mosquito net, and how to navigate the Indian toilet system without public humiliation. An amusing but useful set of tips for that upcoming trip or gap year, and a ride down memory lane for seasoned travellers who are longing to return.

Boasting a pair of ergonomically contoured shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap, and an adjustable, padded hip belt, the suspension system distributes weight evenly across your body so you can keep plugging along after the first mile. And thanks to the variety of chambers--which includes a large main compartment, a Shove-It pocket for quick-access items like guidebooks or water bottles, and exterior zippered side pockets--the Twist 26 offers plenty of space for your clothing and gear. Skiing Holidays in Austria
Of course, no skiing holiday is complete without a buzzing apres ski scene, and that’s another area that Austrian ski resorts really deliver in. With great beer, wine and simple but delicious food, Austrians really know how to show their guests a good time. Mayrhofen in particular is famous for a great night life, and the annual Snowbombing music festival which puts a world-class music festival right in the middle of the mountains.
As many of you will have recognised, the further east in Europe you go, the cheaper things tend to be, and Austria is no exception. By no means as cheap as genuinely Eastern European countries, ski holidays in Austria certainly won’t break the bank in the same way a group ski holiday to France or Switzerland may do.
If you’re after pristine scenery, deliciously simple food, great beer, great skiing and a great time at a reasonable price: Austria could well be your perfect ski destination.

On the Road
50th Anniversary Edition
Few novels have had as profound an impact on American culture as On the Road. Pulsating with the rhythms of 1950s underground America, jazz, sex, illicit drugs, and the mystery and promise of the open road, Kerouac's classic novel of freedom and longing defined what it meant to be "beat" and has inspired generations of writers, musicians, artists, poets, and seekers who cite their discovery of the book as the event that "set them free." Based on Kerouac's adventures with Neal Cassady, On the Road tells the story of two friends whose four cross-country road trips are a quest for meaning and true experience. Written with a mixture of sad-eyed naïveté and wild abandon, and imbued with Kerouac's love of America, his compassion for humanity, and his sense of language as jazz, On the Road is the quintessential American vision of freedom and hope, a book that changed American literature and changed anyone who has ever picked it up. This hardcover edition commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the first publication of the novel in 1957 and will be a must-have for any literature lover.
Stay in Leeds Serviced Apartments for a Weekend Break
When it comes to places to stay in the North of England, Leeds undoubtedly remains one of my favorite cities. It has a nightlife that is unrivaled in the north of England with many superb clubs and bars in the city centre - while Headingley is also a fantastic place to watch international cricket or rugby league and also boasts great bars like the Arc and Original Oak. The surrounding areas of Leeds also offer a great opportunity for walks in places like Otley and Ilkley. So why not book a weekend break and stay in Leeds serviced apartments and enjoy the North of England in style.
